MacGuru17 says:

It does look pretty spectacular.

Kj Hammerman says:

42k plus tax title and license. depending on your interest your looking at
almost 50k. i bought a 2013 ml350 benz for 58k.

Sangmin Lee says:

$42k sounds a lot. But if you equip any car (eg Civic, Accord, Camry, etc)
with that much options, it will be close to $35k easily. So in that
perspective, $42k is about right. In addition, Kia usually gives large
rebates.

TestDriveNow.com featuring Drive Time with Steve Hammes says:

The luxurious new 2014 @Kia #Sorento SXL has the look and the stuff but
what about the drive. My review…

TestDriveNow.com featuring Drive Time with Steve Hammes says:

Though the Mazda drives better, the interior on the Sorento is leaps and
bounds above the CX-9 both in quality and modern amenities.

TestDriveNow.com featuring Drive Time with Steve Hammes says:

It’s funny. This is like Hyundai’s evolution all over again. Rejection.
Denial. And then as time goes on they’re having success selling a $70,000
luxury sedan.

qernst8 says:

I’m trying to figure out why this costs a thousand dollars more than a
completely loaded Mazda CX-9.

bigfoot1310 says:

that may be the case but if you want to carry a large family around CX-9
has a lot more space. Its wheel base is almost 7 inches longer and is about
16.5 16.6 inches longer overall.

TestDriveNow.com featuring Drive Time with Steve Hammes says:

I love its styling! And I heard the same everywhere I drove it this week.

Theo Morrow says:

Yeah! A.K.A, The Hyundai Equus.

johnpom1 says:

loveit

dave dunn says:

$420000 r u fucking kidding me???? Its a kia with hard plastic dash cheap
materials and will depreciate so quick! For $42000 you can buy alot better

TestDriveNow.com featuring Drive Time with Steve Hammes says:

The $70,000 Hyundai Equus does quite well.

TestDriveNow.com featuring Drive Time with Steve Hammes says:

Yes, but that side doesn’t have the lever on top of the seat for easier
sliding of the 2nd row.

Dillon Davis says:

42k and personally i don’t like the outside look, reminds me of old kia.
definitely not worth it.

dvspot says:

I will drive the Equss, but this model on the other hand for 42k, is just a
no, no!

LZSchneider says:

So true. Also, do most 7 row CUVs start at under 25K?

Danny says:

Kia is in it’s way to leading the automotive industry, and it shows in the
Sorento.

omar khan says:

Excellent video sir!

2Kriss2Kross says:

That used Range Rover will have you spending much more afterwards for
mechanics.

Scott Villeneuve says:

Same steering wheel as the Cadenza as well.

PussMag says:

Non-luxury suv at luxury price

TestDriveNow.com featuring Drive Time with Steve Hammes says:

It’s so bad I actually think even those people will notice.

TestDriveNow.com featuring Drive Time with Steve Hammes says:

To play devil’s advocate, which 7-passenger RR are you getting exactly with
all of these features for $42k? Answer: none.

TestDriveNow.com featuring Drive Time with Steve Hammes says:

Plastics and leather quality are better than in some premium cars I’ve
driven.

dave dunn says:

The last sorento steering was great but every other kia hyundai have awful
sloppy dangerous steering. I also find their engines unrefined as well as
transmissions. Ya they both make sexy LOOKING cars with good features but
actually driving them sucks

pedrof830 says:

Nice review, but I wonder how many drivers will be able to discern any
weakness with the steering, as long as the car isolates them from the road
and elements, they’ll feel like they’re driving a premium vehicle.

xxxliqu1dxxx says:

Steve, is it better quality than the 2011 kia sorento? I own one and had it
brand new (now 62k on it) and had cracking noises from the sunroof, door
panels, radio console, etc… had issues with front suspension with link
kits, etc… do you know if any of that is fixed for 2014? Thanks

TestDriveNow.com featuring Drive Time with Steve Hammes says:

Thank you.

SanDiegoInnOut says:

$42K for a Kia??? Noooooo

Ivan Vojt says:

Can you get into the 3rd row from the drivers side? 42K the rate this will
TANK in resale value will be jaw dropping! The space with the 3rd row up is
useless.

Dee King says:

42k!!

Mark scarratt says:

42k ? Excuse me 42k ? What the hell are Kia thinking

TestDriveNow.com featuring Drive Time with Steve Hammes says:

You can get a Santa Fe V6…same engine. But the Sorento offers a higher,
more expensive trim level.

Karon39 says:

42,000!!! I COULD GET A USED RANGE ROVER!!!!

Ivan Vojt says:

In the US market the Santa Fe is cheaper. Yes you lose the V6 but the Turbo
4 has decent power.

canomalo says:

if it had a different badge you wouldnt be complaining be a leader not a
follower stop bashing kia and hyundai because you hear other people saying
it, judge for yourself

Rajendra Adhikari says:

I just bought the sx model. I love it!,

dvspot says:

Anyone buy this vehicle for 42k must be retarded! LOL

Jhon Jairo Sarmiento says:

Buen día. Quiero saber si no hace un test Drive del toyota 4runner y del
lexus gx 460 2014 soy fiel a su programa y me gustaría ver esto por steves
James gracias
